A) Hardware Diagnostics
The Hardware Diagnostics is a DOS based test suite. To run,
leave the Tools & Drivers DVD in the cdrom tray and reboot the system.
At the Tools & Drivers DVD Main Menu enter '1' to start the Hardware
Diagnostic Test Suite. The test suite comes with a complete set
of test scripts that can configure the system automatically. Read
the README file found in the /diags directory to retrieve a complete
listing of all the scripts.

B) System BIOS Flash Utility
The System BIOS Flash Utility is a DOS based test suite. To run,
leave the Tools & Drivers DVD in the cdrom tray and reboot the system.
At the Tools & Drivers DVD Main Menu enter '2' to flash the System BIOS.
The System BIOS can be manually flash as well. Read the README file
found in /flash/bios/latest for option settings when manually flashing
the system BIOS.

C) Post-Install OS scripts
The Post-Install OS scripts can be found at the following directories:
/drivers/linux/red_hat/install.sh = Red Hat Enterprise Linux 32bit and 64bit installation.
/drivers/linux/suse/install.sh = SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop and Server 64bit installation.
/drivers/sx86/install.sh = Solaris X86 installation.
These scripts should be run after the installation of the OS is
completed. The scripts will install the following:
/drivers/linux/red_hat/install.sh
1) Mounts Diagnostic Partition if one is present.
2) Installs NVIDIA video driver.
3) Installs Intel NIC driver.
4) Installs RealTek audio driver.
/drivers/linux/suse/install.sh
1) Mounts Diagnostic Partition if one is present.
2) Installs NVIDIA video driver.
3) Installs Intel NIC driver.
4) Installs RealTek audio driver.
/drivers/sx86/install.sh
1) Mounts Diagnostic Partition if one is present.
2) Install NVIDIA video driver
3) Install e1000g driver

D) Microsoft Windows Driver Installation
The Microsoft Windows drivers can be found at the following directories:
/drivers/windows = Microsoft Windows 2003, XP, and Vista
The Chipset subdirectory under both of the aforementioned locations has
all the drivers needed to install on the Ultra 24. This
executable should be run after the installation of the OS.
The chipset zip package has the following drivers to
install: SMBus, USB, PCI-Express root, LPC Interface Controller.
The Video subdirectory under the aforementioned locations has
the NVidia driver installation package for the Ultra 24. This
executable should be run after the installation of the OS.
The Audio subdirectory under the aforementioned locations has
the Realtek audio driver installation package for the Ultra 24. This
executable should be run after the installation of the OS.
The NIC subdirectory under the aforementioned locations has
the Intel NIC driver installation package for the Ultra 24. This
executable should be run after the installation of the OS.
The SATA subdirectory under the aforementioned locations has
the Intel AHCI driver installation package for the Ultra 24. This
executable should be run after the installation of the OS.
The TPM subdirectory under the aforementioned locations has
the Infineon TPM driver installation package for the Ultra 24. This
executable should be run after the installation of the OS.
The ME subdirectory under the aforementioned locations has
the Intel Management Engine Interface driver installation package for the Ultra 24.
This executable should be run after the installation of the OS (XP and Vista only).

E) Microsoft Windows RIS Installation
The directions for installing Microsoft Windows via RIS (Remote Installation^
Service) can be found at the following directory:
/drivers/windows/RIS/README

F) Microsoft Windows 2003 and XpReburn Installation
The directions for creating a modified Microsoft Windows 2003 or XP 32/64
distribution CD can be found at the following directory:
/utilities/Reburn_.zip
where OS is 2003 or XP
Copy the zip file to a local hard disk and unzip the contents of this file.
There is a README in this zip file that will detail the instructions on
how to create a modified Microsoft Windows 2003 and XP 32/64 CD for use on the
Ultra 24.
Note: this 2003 and XpReburn script can only be run under Solaris, Red Hat, and
SLED. It does not support running under Windows. See README for more
details.
